Jackie lived in Montreal where her art training began at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. She was a member of the Women's Art Society and the Hingston Art Studio. Devereaux Gallery exhibited her work. She and her family moved to Aurora, Ontario in 1979.
Jackie paints with equal facility in watercolor and oil. To keep herself current with respect to technique, design, colour, value and perspective, Jackie attends on a regular basis, workshops with well-known Canadian, American and International artists.
Travel experiences present inspiration and challenge. Jackie is fascinated with Charlevoix, Quebec, and many of her paintings are interpretations of that beautiful region and portray its dramatic grandeur. Scotland is another of Jackie's favorite locations and a great deal of her recent work captures the haunting beauty and breathtaking landscape in the Highlands of that constant and steadfast country.
Jackie has participated in many juried shows and has held numerous solo exhibitions. She is represented by Oakville Galleries, The Weathervane in Caledon, Ontario, The Art Sales Gallery in Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Westview Syudio in Aurora. She is a member of the Central Ontario Art Association and the Artist's Circle of Aurora.
Since 1991, Jackie's paintings have been chosen by Cornerstone 52 foundation, a Toronto-based charitable organization, for use in its customized Christmas card programme in aid of several chiildren's charities.
Private and corporate collections of Jackie's work are held in many parts of Canada and in the United States.
